Celebrity Fashion Shined Bright in 2024
Each year, our street-style tabs are filled with the fashion front runners we can always rely on, such as Bella Hadid and Emma Corrin. And when it comes to red carpet season and fashion week, we know exactly who to watch for some sartorial spectacle (Rihanna, Zendaya). But this year, a remarkable shift occurred in the world of celebrity fashion. While there has been much talk about the decline of personal style and the monotonoisation of fashion, in the celebrity realm, a different story was unfolding.

Uncover the Stars Who Reign in 2024 Fashion

Saoirse Ronan

Saoirse Ronan, it seems, can do no wrong. This year, she collaborated with the talented stylist Danielle Goldberg and became our new jewel-toned fashion muse. Whether it was her azure blue JW Anderson mini at a particular event or her Issey Miyake streetwear, every outfit she stepped out in was both chic and unexpected. We are eagerly anticipating awards season to see what she has in store.

Her ability to effortlessly pull off different looks showcases her true fashion prowess and makes her a force to be reckoned with on the red carpet and in the streets.

Timothée Chalamet

Timothée Chalamet has long been on our fashion radar, but towards the end of this year, he has truly been on a roll. Promoting his Bob Dylan biopic Complete Unknown, he has paired up with stylist Taylor McNeill, Kendrick Lamar's stylist. She has given his look a whole new dimension, adding a touch of "zany couture" in recent years.

From his appearance at a college football game in a Martin Rose coat and a black hoodie to his blueberry suede custom-made Chloé jacket at a Complete Unknown screening (a jacket that closely resembles one Dylan wore in his prime), Chalamet's new, very idiosyncratic, and slightly less polished style is truly captivating.

Ayo Edebiri

Comedian and actor Ayo Edebiri had an outstanding year. Winning awards for her role as vintage-glad chef Sydney on The Bear and hosting Saturday Night Live, she has also become a sartorial icon. Thanks to the impeccable taste and image crafting of Danielle Goldberg, her looks are as sweet, joyful, and cool as she is. Whether she's wearing Loewe, Bottega, or Dries Van Noten, she always turns heads.

In the parasocial relationship we have with her, her fashion choices add another layer to her charm and make her a style inspiration for many.

Addison Rae

Addison Rae emerged in 2024 seemingly out of nowhere and quickly became a style star. Whether she was campaigning for a Britney Spears biopic (speculative) or wearing custom Thom Browne on the CFDA white carpet, her looks never fail to draw our attention. This is especially important when launching a career as a pop star.

Her fashion sense is bold and unique, and she knows how to make a statement with every outfit.

Paul Mescal

We love Paul Mescal in a Gucci suit, but let's be honest, he's on this list mainly for his dedication to the slutty little short in 2024. His choice of men's leisurewear with higher inseams this summer has set a new trend and earned him our admiration.

He has shown that even in casual wear, one can make a fashion statement.

Taylor Russell

Taylor Russell had an amazing year and delivered many inspiring Loewe moments. But our favorite was at the Venice Film Festival when she wore a 1995 archival John Galliano skirt suit. This look perfectly embodies her style, which combines old Hollywood silhouettes with modern elements, such as her cropped pixie cut and Gianvito Rossi mesh pointed heels, creating a timeless result.

Her fashion choices are a perfect blend of the past and the present.

Colman Domingo

Colman Domingo is sartorially unafraid and stands out no matter what. On red carpets where men often blend into the background, he pulls his weight with gold Valentino Couture coats, mustard yellow suits, and custom Louis Vuitton fine tailoring dotted with jewel-like brooches. His stylists, Wayman + Micah, always find the most surprising pieces.

His fashion sense is bold and confident, and he always makes a statement.

Greta Lee

Greta Lee has refined her personal style over the past 12 months, creating a compelling red carpet back catalogue. With her typically severely centre-parted hair, minimal makeup, and architectural yet minimalist silhouettes, her look is both regal and modern.

She has a unique sense of style that sets her apart and makes her a fashion icon.

Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande

We couldn't finish a best-dressed celebrity list without mentioning Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. While they were method-dressed for the Wicked press tour, they still managed to bring their own fashion flair. From Erivo's tattered Erdem jumpsuit and Ariana Grande's Vivienne Westwood bridal couture at the WSJ Innovators Awards to Grande's perfect use of eccentric tinted sunglasses with foamy Ralph Lauren and Swarovski next to a Schiaparelli couture-clad Erivo, their fashion choices added to the excitement of the event.

They showed that fashion can be both fun and sincere.
