Mediaproxy Revolutionizes ATSC 3.0 Monitoring with Cutting-Edge Certification
Mediaproxy, a renowned provider of software-based IP compliance solutions, is set to showcase its recently acquired A3SA (ATSC 3.0 Security Authority) certification at the upcoming NAB Show New York. The company plans to highlight its family of compliance monitoring and multi-viewer systems, which now offer decryption capabilities for ATSC 3.0-based broadcasts used in the United States for NextGen TV.Unlocking the Future of Broadcast Monitoring
Comprehensive ATSC 3.0 Compliance Monitoring
Mediaproxy's LogServer and Monwall product ranges now feature the A3SA certification, providing broadcasters with a comprehensive set of software-based tools to monitor and analyze ATSC 3.0 streams without the need for specialized hardware. This certification allows broadcasters to efficiently monitor both encrypted on-air and off-air signals, ensuring seamless compliance with the latest industry standards. The integration of A3SA security protocols into the LogServer logging and monitoring engine offers broadcasters a cost-effective solution. For on-air and handoff applications, the on-premises LogServer system can directly take the encrypted STLTP (Studio to Transmitter Link Transport Protocol) output from the packager, guaranteeing confidence in the signal sent to the transmitter. In off-air monitoring scenarios, broadcasters can utilize inexpensive and familiar integrated receiver/decoders (IRDs) that do not provide decryption but have outputs of the encrypted IP streams through DASH/ROUTE (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP/Real-time Object delivery over Unidirectional Transport) or the recently approved ALP (A/330, Link-Layer Protocol). LogServer then handles the DRM aspects for all channel sources, enabling ATSC 3.0 compliance on IRDs for streaming platforms like HDHomeRun.
Seamless Multiviewer Integration
The new ATSC 3.0 security feature is also available on Mediaproxy's ever-expanding Monwall multiviewer, which accommodates low-latency monitoring of both encrypted outgoing and return signals. This integration ensures broadcasters can seamlessly monitor and analyze their ATSC 3.0 streams, providing a comprehensive solution for their compliance needs.
Advanced IP Packet and Table Analysis
Alongside the enhanced features on Monwall and LogServer, Mediaproxy has developed an extended toolset for advanced IP packet and table analysis of live broadcast streams or PCAP (packet) captures. This powerful suite of tools can be accessed through user-friendly interfaces, empowering broadcasters to delve deeper into the intricacies of their ATSC 3.0 deployments.
Embracing the Future of Broadcast Technology
"We are excited to be debuting LogServer and Monwall with the recently acquired A3SA certification at NAB Show New York," comments Mediaproxy chief executive Erik Otto. "Recent figures show that NextGen TV is now reaching 75 percent of US television households, and broadcasters need to be aware of efficient and cost-effective ways to monitor and decrypt ATSC 3.0 streams. This certification is a significant advancement for Mediaproxy, and NAB Show New York is the ideal platform to showcase our innovative solutions."Mediaproxy's commitment to staying at the forefront of broadcast technology is evident in its acquisition of the A3SA certification. By providing broadcasters with comprehensive software-based tools to monitor and analyze ATSC 3.0 streams, the company is empowering the industry to seamlessly transition to the next generation of television broadcasting.
