Branson Hosts Arcata in Quarterfinals
With the convincing victory over Salesian, Branson has earned the right to host No. 7 Arcata in the quarterfinals on Thursday at the College of Marin. The Bulls will look to continue their strong play and advance deeper into the NCS Division II playoffs.
Redwood, Marin Academy Also Advance
In other NCS playoff action, No. 3 Redwood defeated No. 15 Heritage 6-1 in the Division I opening round, while No. 4 Marin Academy cruised to a 6-1 road win against No. 13 Albany in the Division II bracket. Both teams will face tough quarterfinal matchups, with Redwood hosting No. 6 Mission San Jose and Marin Academy traveling to take on No. 5 Piedmont.
Marin Catholic Bows Out in Opening Round
Unfortunately, No. 14 Marin Catholic fell 5-2 to No. 3 Lick-Wilmerding in the Division II opening round, ending their playoff run.
Redwood Girls Volleyball Cruises in NorCal Opener
In the NorCal Division I girls volleyball playoffs, the No. 6 Redwood Giants made a strong statement, rolling past Vacaville 25-11, 25-14, 25-13 in their opening-round matchup. The Giants will now face No. 3 seed Clovis in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
Tam's Season Comes to an End
Despite strong performances from Natalia Clifford and Natalie Stanford, the No. 9 Tam Red-tailed Hawks fell 17-25, 25-20, 21-25, 20-25 to No. 8 Palo Alto in the NorCal Division I girls volleyball playoffs, ending their season.
