About the Band
Born and raised in the Bay Area, lead guitarist and vocalist David Noble has been deeply immersed in the world of rock since his seventh grade. "I think that was the turning point when all my friends were getting into Led Zeppelin and I became a part of that musical crew. It just kept growing from there. Through high school and college, I never stopped, and now I've been doing this professionally for about 30 years," he shares. Over the decades, he has performed across the country, from Colorado to Los Angeles and back to his Bay Area home. The band's music is a beautiful fusion of blues, funk, and of course, rock and roll. Five years ago, they welcomed Amber Morris as their lead vocalist and voice teacher. "She's like a vocal virtuoso. She's worked with everyone," says Noble. Alongside Morris, the band consists of Joshua Zucker (bass, vocals), Austin de Lone (keys, vocals), Mick Hellman (drums, vocals), and Rob Anderson (guitar, vocals).
The EP Journey
The "Blue Sky Fantasy" EP is the optimistic counterpart to their 2023 EP "Orange Sky Dream." When "Orange Sky Dream" came out, its message was one of anger and frustration, addressing issues like global warming and the lack of action. But "Blue Sky Fantasy" took a turn towards hope, as Noble describes it, "like, 'hey, let's pave a path towards something better.' "Noble wrote the first track on the new EP, "I Found a Way," which is about finding joy in the simplest aspects of life. "I have a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, and she makes me laugh every day," he says with a smile. Another favorite is "Handling Snakes," written by Lone, which serves as a metaphor for the perils of love.
The Lucca Experience
Noble always looks forward to playing at Lucca Bar & Grill. "It's such a lively audience, and the owners know how to make it right. The fact that it's outdoors allows people to step out onto their front porches and enjoy the music. It's a unique and fun setting," he remarks.Tickets for this event are free, but food and drink are available for purchase. For more details, visit luccabar.com.
